I work with individuals across the lifespan, including children (3+), youth, and adults of all ages. I welcome and affirm folks of all identities and backgrounds in my practice. My areas of focus include working with first responders and play therapy children. I am an approved Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) counsellor. Currently, I am not accepting those seeking relationship counselling. I offer online or telephone sessions. I invite you to book a free 15 minute consultation to see if we would be a good fit!

First Responders
As a first responder’s spouse, I have a passion for working with first responders and their families. Being the partner of a first responder has provided me an understanding and connection to the unique first responder culture.
I have completed specialized training through First Responder Health including including Inter-Provincial Occupational Awareness Training as well as Introduction to Trauma Exposed Professionals.
During my graduate degree, I completed a thesis on counsellor competency in firefighter culture. This included having in-depth conversation with different firefighters. Through this, I gained a deeper insight into firefighter culture, how firefighters perceive counselling, and how we as counsellors can do better in supporting our first responder community.
You do not need to wait until a critical incident occurs to see a counsellor. Let’s connect now and begin to form the foundation for our relationship. It’s an honour to walk alongside first responders and their loved ones as they navigate the challenges of these roles.
Play Therapy
Just like adults, children and youth sometimes go through experiences that bring them or their caregivers to counselling. But for kids, traditional talk therapy isn’t always the best fit. Children need a developmentally appropriate way to explore their feelings and experiences. That’s why I work with kids (3+) using a play-based, child-led approach that allows them to express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe. I also connect regularly with parents and caregivers, so you feel supported and included in your child’s journey.
I have completed Level 1 of Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT) training and am currently working toward certification as a Synergetic Play Therapist. SPT is a research-informed model of play therapy that integrates nervous system regulation, interpersonal neurobiology, physics, attachment theory, mindfulness, and therapist authenticity, all within the natural process of play!
